FHUARC meeting of 10-20-05 at Henderson, TN City Hall 7:00 PM

Bill Baldy presided in the absence of Kevin Roeder.

 

This year’s Christmas party was discussed. It was decided to have it on December 15th, the regular December meeting night. Bill Baldy will see if Arnold’s Steak House can accommodate us on that night. It is expected that we will have between 20 and 30 attendees. A more accurate number can be determined between now and the November meeting.

 

Joe Loucka discussed the kit building that has taken place during the past month. Those who brought their kits to the meeting for all to see were Micah England, Louise Burkhead, Mike Burkhead, Joe Loucka, Sue Loucka, Thad Williams and Richard England, Sr. Various modifications that had been made to some of the kits (such as adding a band spread control and changing the coverage to 80 meters) were discussed.

 

A number of kits from the past were brought to show the difference between then and now. John Adams also brought a 40 meter QRP transceiver which he recently built.

 

It was an excellent meeting and a good time was had by all.
