Chester County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes
October 15, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by President Dick Heismann. In attendance were James Webb, Dexel Burns, Tom Childers and Sue and Joe Loucka

Dick said that he would like to see the club more focused on radio. He suggested that we consider special projects, possibly on a weekend such as building something or maybe helping an area ham that needs help.

Joe gave us an update on Echolink. He has the interface completed. We are currently waiting for FHU to get the node license. Until that time, he has Echolink running on simplex.

Joe gave a very interesting presentation on Echolink, what it is and how it works. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, asking questions and participating in the discussion.

The next meeting will be January 21, 2013 at the Henderson Fire Station.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
