Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM by President Joe Loucka, in the
Conference Room of Henderson City Hall.

In attendance: Joe and Sue Loucka, Mike and Louise Burkhead, Richard and
Martha England, Kevin Roeder, John Adams, Joe Newton, Dexel Burns, Thad
Williams, Jimmy Helvering, and Ray Eaton. Thad and Jimmy had to leave due
to the death of a friend. Our sympathies extend to Thad and Jimmy.

Fourth Thursday in October, (Oct. 26) will be the next meeting. Reason for
change in date is that NWS will be presenting a class for us on Severe
Weather Spotting. Place: same meeting room in City Hall: Time: about
6:00 PM.

Some of the Club will be setting up a station at the gazebo on Henderson
City Green, on Main Street, across from the First State Bank Main Office, on
Friday, Sept. 29, for the BBQ Festival. Probably start setting up around
8:00 AM.

Ray Eaton announced that the Antique Radio Club will be setting up at the
Gazebo on Saturday, Sept. 30, in conjunction with the BBQ Festival. He said
FHUARC can set up tables there and then if we wish.

President Loucka asked for input on possible projects for club meetings for
the coming months. One possible project could be constructing an rf probe,
then the next month use the probes on actual signal tracing.

"Solder Smoke" on the internet might be of interest to the Club. Believe it
can be received on MP3, pod cast, etc. President Loucka probably could
advise further, if anyone interested.

Discussed possibility of using kites, balloons, etc., for antenna lifting
for field day, etc.

John Adams and Richard England presented an interesting and practical
program on wire antennas and antenna building. Of particular interest was
the coaxial dipole. Many advantages to these antennas, although they are
single-band antennas.

Thad has his 2 meter repeater up and going. It is KI4LFV/R, on 147.045+, PL
tone 156.7.

The K4TC 440 repeater is up and going, thanks to Kevin, Richard, Mickey, and
others. Kevin put new antenna on the tower, and also put up an HF antenna
for the EOC at the same time. Thanks, Kevin, and the others. The repeater
is 444.750+. PL tone 100.0.

Meeting adjourned
