Meeting Minutes
August , 2011
The meeting
was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President
Richard (Dick) Heismann. In attendance were Richard
and Martha England, Mike and Louise Burkhead, James
Taylor, Lauralei Russell, Eugene Branscum, Richard
Heismann and Sue and Joe Loucka.
Dick read the
minutes of the July meeting. Lauralei moved to
accept them as read and the motion was seconded by
Sue.
Dick reported that he is working on updating the Club
By-laws .
There is going to be an ARES exercise the first part
of October. Dick said that he has talked to the ARES
coordinator who is going to look into it.
Joe and Dick are attending the Huntsville Hamfest
and invited anyone else that was interested to join
them. Lauralie said that she and Eugene and another
couple from the Parsons radio club would probably
see them there.
Sue reported that the club
has a new tax ID number and that the name on the
bank account is now Chester County Amateur Radio
Club.
The program at the next
meeting, September 15th
we will build
a tape-measure direction finder for use at the Fox
Hunt. The club will furnish the parts needed.
Joe Loucka gave a
presentation on frequency measurement using copper
pipe as a feed line and demonstrating SWR using a
voltmeter and light bulb.
The meeting was adjourned
at 8:05.
