Chester County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes
July 21, 2016

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President Richard Heismann.

The minutes were read and a Treasurer’s Report was given.

The Huntsville, AL Hamfest will be on Saturday, August 20^th. A few of us are planning to attend. We will meet at the old Radio Shack at 8:00 that morning if anyone would like to join us.

Our quarterly license testing session will be at 9:00 on August 27^th.

Tim Clark showed us his meter case he got at Harbor Freight for less than $10. They are also a perfect fit for the  Baofeng radios also .

Joe Loucka laid out his plan for the next meetings: September will be solder practice; October we’ll build the doorbell kit; November we’ll build the pinecone Christmas trees.

Joe Loucka gave a presentation on resistors. He talked about different resistors, their importance in all electronics and showed us examples of different types. He had us make our own resistors using a piece of paper and a pencil. We measured the resistance and used a circuit to hear the variable resistance.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm.
