Meeting called to order by Club President Dick Heismann, AJ4VZ., in the Activities Building of the Henderson Church of Christ.

 In attendance:  Joe and Sue Loucka, Richard and Martha England, Dick Heismann, Mike and Louise Burkhead, and Barry Smith. 

Barry, K4DJX, gave the Treasurer's report. 

Old business:  President Dick, AJ4VZ, thanked those who attended Field Day.  Richard, W4KRU, will advertise the up-coming August 24 "Tailgate SwapFest", on the Tennessee Phone Net.  Bring your own tables and chairs.  SwapFest will be on the parking lot of the Chester County High School, on East Main Street, Henderson, TN.  President Dick brought the new Club banner for display.  A good-looking banner, too.  Joe, AG4QC, said he will not be getting the rf probe kits that were to be used for a future Club activity. 

New business:  President Dick, AJ4VZ, announced the Huntsville, AL, Hamfest will be August 21 & 22. Our next Club meeting will be August 19. 

Mike, K4TC, will check with the National Weather Service to determine if they can present a class on Advanced Weather Spotting, for the Club program for the month of October.

 Joe, AG4QC, presented the program for the evening on the various types of antennas in use by ham radio operators.  He covered many types of wire antennas, as well as the Yagi, corner reflector, parabolic dishes; and various forms of vertical antennas.  A very good program, with lots of good information.  Joe presents his programs in a way that makes the info easy to absorb!  Thanks, Joe.
