Chester County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes
June 16, 2011

 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President Richard (Dick) Heismann. In attendance were Lauralei Russell, Eugene Branscum, Richard and Martha England, Zack, Russ, Nikki and Eva Pennington, Ron and Ron Jr. Means, Richard Heismann and Sue and Joe Loucka.

 Everyone was reminded that the minutes for the meetings can be found on our web site. Sue Loucka read the Treasurer’s Report.

 There will be VE testing at 7:00 p.m. on June 30th at the Henderson Fire Department. This will be the last test session before the question pool for the General Class license changes on July 1.

  Field Day is coming up the last weekend of the month. We will be meeting at Jack’s Restaurant at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25th for breakfast before heading over to Gene Record Park where we have reserved the Farmers Market pavilion. We are holding a tailgate swap fest from 10:00 a.m. till noon and a practice fox hunt at 2:00 p.m. It was decided that we would just do a brown bag lunch.

 Dick said he will bring a generator, table, chairs, fan, antenna and coax cable. Richard is bringing cable, a QRP rig, antenna and misc. equipment. Joe will bring a radio and earphones. Ron is bringing the Chester County Ares bus along with a G5RV. He said he needs a feed line.

 Joe Loucka did a presentation on Basic Ham Radio Antenna Tuning that was very interesting. He asked for suggestions for topics for future presentations. Next month the presentation will be on how to use a voltmeter.

 The meeting was adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
