Chester County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes
May 19, 2011

The club met at the Henderson Church of Christ, 240 White Avenue, Henderson, TN at 6:00 for a pot luck dinner. Richard England was kind enough to cook hamburgers, hot dogs and brats while members brought delicious side dishes and desserts. Attending were Richard and Sandy Heismann, Richard and Martha England, Mike Hurst, Loran Newton, Darlene and Jimmy Collins, Jim Helvering, Dexel Burns and Sue and Joe Loucka.

After everyone had eaten, club president Richard Heismann called the meeting to order. Club business cards were given out to members to pass on to the community and any interested individuals. Annual election of officers was held resulting in Richard Heismann, President; Joe Loucka, Vice-President; Sue Loucka, Secretary-Treasurer.

It was noted that Field Day 2011 is June 25. The club has permission from the mayor to use the Farmers Market pavilion at Record Park. It was suggested and agreed that we also hold a tail-gate swap fest at the same time. It was also suggested that we have a fox hunt on the same day. Discussion of the particulars will continue at the June meeting.

Joe Loucka asked for help with ideas for upcoming presentations. He stated that he wants to take the club back to basics and in that vein next month's presentation will be basic antenna matching, setting and measuring SWR and just basic things you need to know about getting your radio on the air.

Membership dues are due in June. Dues are $20.00 for the first member in a household and $10.00 for each additional member.

The next club meeting is at 7:00 p.m. on June 16 at our regular meeting place, the Henderson Fire Station, 505 Sanford Street, Henderson, TN.

Richard England made a motion to adjourn the meeting which was seconded.
